Field Trip to Tung Ping Chau and Grass Island

Tung Ping Chau is located in Mirs Bay, which is part of Hong Kong’s northeast marine region. Having the youngest rocks in Hong Kong, it is also a part of the UNESCO Global Geopark in Hong Kong. This field trip offered an opportunity for S1 to S6 students to study a wide range of sedimentary features and coastal erosion landforms. Passing by different geosites like Grass Island, Bluff Head and Port Island, students could also learn to appreciate the beauty of different natural landforms.
