Introduction to E-Orchestra Lecture (online and face-to-face)

In September, it was our honour to have invited Dr. Leung Chi Hin, an assistant professor of the Education University of Hong Kong, the chairman of the Hong Kong Association for Music Educators (HAME), and the Vice chairman of the Hong Kong Composers’ Guild (HKCG) to introduce e-Orchestra to our S.1 to S.2 students. In addition to composing electronic music, the students engaged in an ensemble under the conduct of Dr Leung while interacting with 80 fellow S.1 students online. 

This year our school participated in the e-Orchestra course jointly organised by the Leisure and Service Department and the Hong Kong Association for Music Educators. E-Orchestra is a full-year electronic music creation and performance in practice training course. It gives students opportunities to understand and create electronic music with their creativity and imagination. Our students use iPads to perform musical pieces as well as to create their own music and video works. At the end of the school year, students will perform their pieces to the public and publish their works at the exhibition.
