Launch ceremony of the “Light Rail Voyager – Yuen Long Sightseeing Route”

Our school participated in the launch ceremony of the “Light Rail Voyager – Yuen Long Sightseeing Route” event jointly organized by the Yuen Long Merchants Association and the MTR Corporation Limited on September 27, 2025, guiding participants to deeply experience Yuen Long's rich culinary and walled-village culture. During the event, our Secondary 3 to Secondary 5 students served as cultural tour guides in Ping Shan, providing an in-depth historical and traditional tour for over 200 participants, including teachers and students from local primary schools and kindergartens, as well as other guests. The tour route included the following four stops:

- Kun Ting Study Hall – learning about the architecture and educational history of a Qing Dynasty study hall;

- Tang Ancestral Hall – exploring the family culture and architectural features of a centuries-old ancestral hall;

- Ancient Well and Yeung Hau Temple – experiencing the historical traces of the ancient well and the temple, along with folk beliefs;

- Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda – understanding the architectural significance and historical background of Hong Kong’s only ancient pagoda.

 

In the evening, participants gathered to enjoy a traditional Poon Choi feast, savoring authentic local cuisine in a strong rural atmosphere. Additionally, our school’s dance club performed an exciting jazz dance, adding energy and joy to the event.

 

Through this activity, students not only gained a deeper understanding of Yuen Long’s cultural heritage but also demonstrated their talents and team spirit through service and exchange.
