Massians Excel at the World Scholar’s Cup 2026 Global Round

YLMASS is delighted to congratulate our students on their outstanding performance at the World Scholar’s Cup 2026 Global Round. Competing alongside students from around the world, our Massians demonstrated strong critical thinking, effective communication, and excellent teamwork across a range of academic events. Most importantly, all participating students have successfully qualified for the Tournament of Champions, which will be held at Yale University in November 2026. 

The World Scholar’s Cup is a prestigious international academic competition. Participants are challenged to explore interdisciplinary topics spanning history, science, literature, social studies, and contemporary issues. Through determination, resilience, and rigorous preparation, our Massians rose to the occasion and delivered an impressive medal haul in both the Junior and Senior Divisions. These accomplishments reflect not only the their  academic abilities but also their curiosity, perseverance, and willingness to challenge themselves on an international stage. 

The Global Round was much more than a competition. During their stay, students also participated in enriching learning experiences, including a visit to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) along the 38th Parallel. The visit provided valuable insights into the Korean War, the division of the Korean Peninsula, and ongoing efforts towards peace and reconciliation. They also joined a university campus visit to Seonggyungwan University, where they explored the university's rich heritage, learned about campus life, and gained insights into future academic pathways.
