2026–2027 Opening Ceremony
Date: 01/09/2026
The annual Opening Ceremony and Flag‑Raising Ceremony was successfully held on September 1, with all teachers and students gathering in a solemn atmosphere to mark the beginning of a new school year. The ceremony commenced with the flag‑raising, led by our school’s Flag‑Raising Team. The whole assembly stood respectfully, demonstrating our commitment to national identity and school culture.
Principal Chau Ho‑wai then addressed the school community, warmly welcoming students back to campus after the summer break and extending heartfelt greetings to our new Form 1 students and newly joined teachers. She reviewed the significant achievements of the past academic year, including the outstanding performance of our students in the 2026 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination. Many graduates were admitted to competitive degree programmes, including those accepted into medical school—an accomplishment that brought great joy to the school.
Our students also excelled on the international stage. In the World Scholar’s Cup, our school team achieved an impressive ranking among more than 400 participating teams, showcasing our global awareness, critical thinking skills, and strong teamwork.
This year, we are delighted to welcome new members to our teaching staff, whose expertise and enthusiasm will further enrich our school’s learning environment and teaching culture.
Principal Chau encouraged students to uphold the school motto, Sincerity, Simplicity, Diligence, Perseverance, and to embrace the spirit symbolised by climbing Mount Fuji—challenging oneself, supporting one another, and striving for excellence throughout the new school year.
The ceremony concluded with the uplifting melody of the school song, bringing the event to a meaningful close and filling the campus with hope and motivation as we embark on a new chapter together.
