"Tell Good Stories of Hong Kong" Chinese Language Program

Hong Kong Economic Journal Education has received support from the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) as well as funding from the Language Fund. They will organize a promotion of the Chinese language program called "Tell Good stories of Hong Kong" during the academic year 2023/24 to 2024/25. 

Our students, 2S Tung Ka Hei, 2C Lin Ken, and 2M Wong Oi Man, junior category and advanced to the finals in the Junior Category of competition. On 8th May, 2024, they participated in the ceremony of "Tell Good Stories of Hong Kong". The event featured a lecture by Dr. Yau Yat, the Executive Director of the Academy of Chinese Studies, on the significance of history and the importance of recording it. In addition, Mr. Gordon Lam Ka Tung, the Best Actor of the Hong Kong Film Awards, presented awards on-site and shared his insights on storytelling through visuals, encouraging all participants to enjoy the learning process and discover the joy of creation. 

During the summer vacation, our students will participate in the creative writing training course organized by Hong Kong Economic Journal Education which includes workshops and local field trips. This will equip them for the “Tell Good Stories of Hong Kong" grand finals, where the 10 winners’ work will be published in a book and exhibited at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2025.
