Turn the Pages, Savor Happiness

Books came alive today at our school as students, teachers, and special guests joined forces for an electrifying “Reading for Half an Hour” event, turning the school hall into a hub of literary excitement! 

In celebration of World Book Day, our school partnered with the Community Involvement, Culture and Recreation Committee of the Yuen Long District Council to launch a heartwarming campaign under the theme “Happy Moments Between the Pages.” With over a hundred buzzing students and teachers, plus inspiring guest speakers, the event proved that reading is anything but quiet—it’s an adventure! 

The celebration kicked off with a serene yet powerful shared reading session, where everyone—from VIP guests to students—dove into uplifting books about mental well-being. The silence was golden, filled only with the turning of pages and the spark of imagination. 

Then came the energy boost! Our School Supervisor fired up the crowd with a passionate call to action: reading unlocks our future while Principal Chau had everyone on the edge of their seats, blending a gripping reading experience with a real-life hiking adventure. Then the District Councillor Mr. Lui connected the dots between the books we read today and the leader we will become tomorrow and the Senior Librarian Mr. Pang from Yuen Long District Library  unveiled a treasure of digital resources and library services.
