- Student Advancement Committee
The Student Advancement Committee is dedicated to fostering the growth and advancement of elite students and student leaders. Our primary objective is to coordinate diverse opportunities that help these students explore their potential and develop essential skills for future success.
Targeting elite students, we nominate outstanding students for various external elite programs and award schemes, enhancing their learning journeys. We are also eager to expand our students' global mindset by nominating them to participate in various international programs, such as the World Scholar's Cup. Moreover, in collaboration with other student development committees, we also select and lead participants to join the Enhanced Smart Teen Project, which focuses on self-discipline, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Targeting student leaders, we help build up students’ roles and images as student leaders and promote the seven essential qualities of student leaders, including Self-discipline, Empathy, Responsibility, Self-breakthrough, Psychological resilience, Global mindset and Forward thinking, which are in line with our collective Massians’ values. By emphasizing the importance of correct leadership values and supporting the Student Union, Prefects, Houses, clubs, and service teams, we play a crucial role in shaping the future leaders of our community.

Emphasize the cultivation of correct leadership values and visions by promoting the seven essential qualities of student leaders.

Hold the Student Leaders Inauguration Ceremony to recognise and signify the importance of student leaders’ responsibilities at YLMASS and mark the beginning of their duties as student leaders for this academic year.

Arrange various leadership training activities to student leaders, such as training camps, courses, workshops, etc., to enhance students’ leadership skills and qualities.
